Big Love: The Complete Fourth Season (DVD) For years, Bill Henrickson wished for a world free from the corrupt "Prophet" of Juniper Creek, Roman Grant. Now that Roman appears to be out of the picture, Bill and his family can breathe easily … or can they? Season 4 continues the Henrickson's story, as Bill launches another business venture: a Mormon-friendly casino. At the same time, Bill eschews a chance to seize the Prophet mantle at Juniper Creek in favor of an even more high-profile calling: running for State Senate in Utah. Hold tight for the fourth season of the iconic, Golden Globe®-winning series Big Love. For viewers new to HBOs acclaimed series Big Love, starting with these nine episodes (on three discs) from the fourth season may be like jumping aboard a moving passenger train-there are many strange folks around, and theres a lot going on, so it may take a while to find your footing. (Fortunately, the boxed set includes episode synopses, "previously on" and "next on" teasers, a look back at the first three seasons, and brief "Inside the Episode" bits in which cocreators Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer discuss the key elements of each new chapter.) Of course, old hands will already be familiar with the many trials and tribulations of Mormon businessman Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton), his three wives (Jeanne Tripplehorn as Barb, Chloë Sevigny as Nicki, and Ginnifer Goodwin as Margene), and a brood of children now approaching double figures. The familys nemesis (and Nickis father), "prophet" Roman Grant (Harry Dean Stanton), is out of the picture early on, but a scary new villain emerges in the form of JJ (Zeljko Ivanek), a skeletal, hollow-eyed schemer and Nickis ex-husband, who, for starters, marries her mother and connives with her brother Alby (Matt Ross). And there are numerous other story lines to follow, as Bill and his Native American partners struggle to get their new casino going; Bill contemplates a run for political office, hoping to use

Hey, That's Not What the Bible Says! That's what Bill heard back from a group of young children when he shared some sketches he had done for children's church. Those drawings were the basis for this unique and very creative look into some of the Bible's most popular stories including the Garden of Eden, Moses and the burning bush, and Jesus' birth. 10 stories in all are told in cartoonish fashion with a familiar group of kids always popping up to remind us…That's Not What the Bible Says! The complete stories from the Bible are included along with each story as references for families to spend family time reading together.
SANBORN — Close to 100 people gathered at Niagara County Community College Thursday morning to welcome its newest addition, the Learning Commons. The roughly $25 million project took approximately 18 months to construct. Robert Ortt, state Assemblymen Michael Norris and Angelo Morinello, as well as William Murabito, NCCC interim president, cut the ribbon at a ceremony on Thursday morning. “This is just going to bring the college together,” said Bill Ross, chairperson for the NCCC Board of Trustees. Ross pointed out that the older buildings were designed more than 45 years ago and were ready for an upgrade. “In the early ‘70s when they built the university, it was going through all the protests from the Vietnam War, something I lived personally,” Morinello said. “The concept was, ‘Let’s not build gathering areas, because we don’t need a space to bring individuals together, because they’ll start protesting. ’ For many, many years, this university suffered through that. First-year students Britney Chikan, majoring in Criminal Justice, Marissa Pacarella, pursuing a degree in nursing, and Ally Robertson going for phlebotomy say they feel at ease in the new building, that it was a good place to study and meet new... “It’s nice and cozy,” Chikan said. The new building was formerly an open courtyard, as well as the renovations made in the adjacent buildings now connected by the Learning Commons. Along the perimeter of the second floor, students sat at tables, often with open laptops, completely undisturbed by the noise of students below. Chris Voyer, the project’s site superintendent with Waterbourn Construction Advisors, stood by a slideshow watching the stages that the building went through. “I came out a month into it and I looked at it and decided it was a legitimate project,” Voyer said. “I looked at it from the interest of it, the complexity of how much fun it’d be to do this project. I had a great group of guys helping me. The guys on the job site were really good. Julia Pitman, vice president of Student Services, and Bob McKeown, assistant vice president of Enrollment Management said that this building was the right fit for students, and could potentially draw more students into the NCCC family. “This building has the wow factor and, from the enrolling standpoint, it allows us to give tours here and get to show it off,” McKeown said.
