This is an in depth reference work devoted to the movie trivia game Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon. It is far better and more complete than the terrible, short book by the games creators, which was mostly pictures and empty space on the page.

The Repertory Movement

This is an account of the origins, development and current state of the repertory theatre movement in Britain. The movement had its roots in ideas, experiments and traditions stretching back into the nineteenth century, and first found its voice in 1907 with Miss Horniman's company in Manchester. Since then it has played a vital - often a dominant - role in British twentieth-century theatre. As a method of theatre organisation, repertory refers to those theatres based primarily in the regions, housing a resident acting company and seeking to maintain each season a programme of plays catering for the tastes of the whole community. But the theory has never been dogmatic and the movement has evolved from a gamut of complex factors, not least the visions of particular personalities. Major...

Union Township police arrest three arson suspects - New Castle News

Three men who live in the neighborhood of Bluff Street are accused of setting fires there recently. Union Township police on Thursday charged 23-year-old Alexander Whetsel of 27 Bluff St. , and Ryan Nixon, 21, and Lloyd Lewis III, 26, both of 46 High St. , in connection with the fires that police say were deliberately set. The three men reportedly turned themselves in to the police Thursday. Whetsel and Lewis were released on $10,000 unsecured bonds, meaning that if they do not show for their court proceedings they will have to pay that amount. Nixon, who faces the most charges, is reported to have been the ringleader of the trio. The Union Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire at 6:42 p. m. Aug. 18 at 32 Bluff St. . The owner told police he had bought the house and had been storing items inside and was planning to have it torn down. He told police there was no insurance on the house. A state police fire marshal determined that the fire had started in the downstairs near the door. The fire department was called back to the house around 8 a. m. the next day because the house was on fire again, according to paper the police filed in court. A police officer on Sunday spoke to Whetsel, who said he and Nixon were involved in setting the Aug. He said he had learned that Nixon and Lewis had started a fire at 21 Bluff Street the same day, the court papers say. According to court documents, police said Lewis gave a statement that he and Nixon had gone into the vacant house at 21 Bluff St. before that date to see if there were any valuables inside. Then they went back there and set the house on fire, he told police. He said he went into the bathroom and set paper on fire, then he tried to put the fire out, he reported. He told officers that Nixon had started a fire near the first room by the door, then the two went back to their house on High Street. Lewis said he was not part of setting the fire at 32 Bluff St. , but said that Nixon was, and that the two of them set one in a house in the city on Smithfield Street. Nixon in an interview with police admitted full involvement in the fires, police said. He told police that on Aug. 18, he and Whetsel entered 32 Bluff St. and he went upstairs, looking to light something. He said he smelled smoke and noticed Whetsel had started a fire downstairs. He said he started another piece of paper downstairs in the same area and they both left and went back to High Street. Nixon told police that the next day, all three men were walking on Bluff Street and he ran inside and reset the fire at 8 a. m. Nixon is charged with 14 felonies that include three counts of arson, five counts of reckless burning or exploding in... Whetsel and Lewis each face one count of arson, one count of reckless burning or exploding, conspiracy to commit reckless burning or exploding, criminal mischief and causing a catastrophe.
