Ghost of Honor
"Justine Tromane is about to face his biggest fear, himself -- only he doesn't know it. Why? Because Justin, a former Vietnam Special Forces veteran and now a professor at Midwest University, has been coerced into solving a murder and, during the progression, must answer to the demon buried deep inside himself. Set in Chicago in the 80's, the character-driven story is a murder mystery with a human drama twist. Gripping and sinister, the book weaves lies with love and treachery with truth, teaching oneself the ultimate meaning of honesty, devotion, and being at peace." --Dust jacket flap
- Michel "Away" Langevin (drums): "It's a recurring nightmare, in a way, this planet. We thought about Chernobyl back then and now it can be Fukushima or the ozone layer back then, now it's global warming. There's always inspiring stuff for us to talk about.
- Before he returns with the little girl's prone, bloodied body, she undresses and performs a strange, compulsive hoochie-coochie dance, as if her own baser instincts had been ignited. How did this image of American innocence devolve into such a blood bath?

Esplanade - Theaters on the Bay, Singapore
The new architecture around the Bay in downtown Singapore has become world famous. I think just everybody knows the new architectural icon of Singapore: "Marina Bay Sands Sky Park". You can find tons of pictures about stunning high-rise ensemble here on Flickr (as well as in my photo stream). The "Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay" just are lying opposite and there are good reasons to know them too. The buildings contain a huge concert hall and a theatre and are the centre for the performing arts in Singapore. Their name comes from the Esplanade, a park at the mound of the Singapore River. The outdoor open space offers a breathtaking view over the new Marina Bay.
But the most capturing detail of the building is of course its aluminium facade made to protect the glass bodies from the sun. It is said that the design is inspired by the tropical fruit Durian and the locals just call the building "the durians"....
