Eternal Winter

The fragile balance of the Isle is shaken when a fallen god rises to challenge the iron might of Mage Grapple. Faced with an uncertain future, the Isle must look to the past for answers. Bitter feuds resurface and old secrets are exposed, revealing more of Mage De Winter’s dark past. When the very foundations of power on the Isle are destroyed, chaos seems set to reign, throwing the turbulent brilliance of Mistral’s life into darkness. How far would you go to protect those you love? Would you fight for them? Kill for them? Die in their place? For some there are no limits. “Eternal Winter” is the epic fourth book in the dark fantasy series Isle of Dreams.

Macpherson leads at Qinhuangdao Championship - pgatour.com

QINHUANGDAO, China — It’s been awhile since Australia’s Bryden Macpherson won a PGA TOUR Series-China tournament. To be specific, 1,062 days have passed since Macpherson won the 2015 Lushan Open on his way to Player of the Year honors. Through 36 holes of the Qinhuangdao Championship, Macpherson is in position to end the drought. The Australian fired a tournament-low, 8-under 64 Friday to move to 10-under and take a one-stroke lead at the halfway stage. Order of Merit leader Charlie Saxon shot 67 at Qinhuangdao Poly Golf Club to share second with fellow American Joseph Winslow (66) at 9-under, one ahead of England’s Stephen Lewton (69) and Hong Kong’s Shunyat “Jason” Hak (67). MORE: Leaderboard. Macpherson, who won the Tour’s Order of Merit in 2015 in that Player of the Year season and returned to the Web. com Tour in 2016, made eight birdies in his bogey-free round. 1, 3 and 5, adding additional back-nine birdies at 10, 13, 15, 16 and 17. “I like the way the course plays. It makes you hit a few shots, and it makes you play all the way until the end. Start to finish, it’s pretty difficult,” Macpherson said of the 7,185-yard layout. Even with that assessment, he made it look easy with his sterling play. “It’s been kind of a strange year because I haven’t played that well results-wise, but I actually feel better with my game all around than I ever have. This is Macpherson’s seventh PGA TOUR China-Series event, and he’s made five consecutive cuts after missing the weekend at the Haikou Championship in May. His best finish came at the Kunming Championship in June, a tie for 12th. The consistency has shown, though, as he’s only missed the top 25 once in his made cuts, and that was a tie for 26th last week at the Suzhou Championship. Saxon, 25, who leads the Order of Merit after two wins plus another three top-10s, was also bogey-free as he fired five birdies on a course the big-hitting American believes gives him an advantage. “I’m hitting a lot of low, stinging 2-irons that are running and getting myself into positions to have short irons in, and I really like that style of golf. “I’m playing really well and I feel really comfortable out there. Winslow tied for fourth at last week’s Suzhou Championship, is fourth on the Order of Merit, and was impressive again as he racked up seven birdies against just one bogey. Also long off the tee, Winslow is full of confidence as he bids for his second title of the year, following his breakthrough win at the Yantai Championship in July. “I’m really comfortable being on top of the leaderboard. It’s just one of those things of taking it shot by shot and staying focused,” said Winslow. Any player ranked in the top 25 after this week’s Qinhuangdao Championship is exempt to the Second Stage of the Web. com Tour Qualifying Tournament, which will be held from October 30-November 2 and November 6-9. From the final Order of Merit, the top-five will earn status on next year’s Web. com Tour, top-10 players are exempt to the Final Stage of the Web. com Tour Qualifying Tournament from December 6-9 and any player ranked 11-25 is exempt to the Second Qualifying Stage.
