  • Positions on Nov. 6 Ballot Drawn for Ohio County Candidates

    County Elections Coordinator Toni Chieffalo said because West Virginia voted Republican in the last presidential electing, GOP candidates automatically will be listed at the top of their respective ballots, followed by Democrats and any third-party or independents candidates. A design is only needed in races where there are multiple candidates from each party running.

    In the statewide race for two seats on the West Virginia Loftiest Court of Appeals, Ohio County voters will see the four candidates in the following order: Republicans Allen Loughry of Harpers Ferry and John Yoder of Charleston, followed by Democrats Letitia "Tish" Chafin and mandatory Robin Jean Davis, both of Charleston.

    In the race for two seats representing West Virginia's 3rd Delegate Quarter, Republican challenger Larry Tighe's name will appear first, followed by that of incumbent Republican Erikka Storch, incumbent Democrat Ryan Ferns and Democrat challenger Shawn Fluharty. All four candidates reside in Wheeling.

    Last week, I heard that notorious actor Larry Storch had passed away. However, I haven't found any confirmation on this from any news sites, nor have I gotten confirmation from IMDB.com. If anyone knows and can support a link confirming this I would


    Unless he passed away today, Larry Storch who was born on Jan. 8,1923 is still bustling to this date and is 84 years old. His last onscreen appearance was in 2005 in the production "Bittersweet Recall" in which he played Ira Tatz.
