Duo weigh in with two tons Sport Grimsby
The first came at Westlands B as Barrett, of Clee Cons A, was paired against Pete Smith, the Wessies captain.
After a few safety exchanges, Barrett sneaked a red and went on to record a 108 break before missing a long green.
Carrington, of Simon Devaney Builders A, was up against Windows Warehouse's John Leyland, who had potted a red before Carrington got in and showed his class with a superb 106.
The shock result in the section, however, came at the Ray Edmonds Club where leaders John Roe Toyota played host to Flor Pro, who they beat 8-0 in the first half.
The visitors perhaps had a point to prove and this they did when Nige Lamming won both his frames, and Paul Bristow, John Ashford-Smith and Alan Edmonds all won a frame to give them a 5-3 victory.
