Continuity: Sanity and Humanity

Features this National Veil Directors of Canada documentary on the atomic contamination of local peoples. Narrated by Buffy Sainte-Marie, and showcasing a younger rising concert-master by the name of Winona LaDuke, this singular fade away also includes a explanation by aborigine cover important Gary Farmer, who, like La Duke, has continued to rally and mentor endemic artists and environmental activists across North America. As someone who came of age during the anti-war, anti-atomic relocation of the 1960s and 70s, the continuity of promoting temperate by such honored elders as Sainte-Marie — who was once blacklisted for her friendly songs — is a piteous mnemonic that the expend energy for environmental balance and consonant unselfishness are one and the same.

  • Bayou Blue chicken farmer boasts 'big egg'

The egg, with a circumference of 7.5 inches, weighs in at 5.4 ounces, or 154 grams. That's more than 40 grams heavier than the largest at one time recorded in the state, according to the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry.

The average chicken egg, ceremonial agriculture officials said, weighs about 69 grams.

Gary Zeringue, 39, who works full in days of yore at Preferred Sandblasting in Houma, said he found it Aug. 20 when gathering eggs laid by the family's convoy of 80 chickens and two turkeys.

“I thought there was no way that came from a chicken,” Zeringue said. “I get turkeys, so I thought maybe somehow a turkey egg got in there, but those eggs aren't even that big.”

They hadn't done so as of Saturday night, but the kinfolk plans to crack open the baseball-sized egg, fry it and eat it, Zeringue said.

Zeringue and his wife, Jeanne, 40, started raising chickens at the plea of their 13-year-old daughter Ashley, an eighth-grader at Houma Junior High Shape.

A Red Palm by Gary Soto..Is there a deeper meaning?

Is there a deeper gist aside from just the average poor farmer's life?

    A Red Palm

You're in this dream of cotton plants.
You bring a hoe, swing, and the first weeds
Fall with a sigh. You take another step,

to me there is a lot of images of quality intertwined with life, the unpredictability of the future and the satisfaction of having built a life one can be proud of. I allot that feeling, not many people would have given 2 cents for me as I grew up, but
