Helen McMullen, the proprietress and operator of Three Sisters Soap Company, has been into natural and organic products before natural and structured was even in style. Helen runs the company, named after her three daughters, out of her home office and studio in Kennebunk, making soaps, savoury products, such as body mists and air fresheners, as well as skin care products. Three Sisters Soap Companionship started small 10 years ago, producing just soap. Now, Helen makes a number of products that are sold online on the company website and in approximately 10 stores in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Her finest sellers these days are her lip balms, called Kitty Lips, as they are sold in little, cat-shaped tins, and her lavender soap. Everyone loves the reek of lavender, she says.
