Drummondville has high-powered top forward line Times and Transcript
If the Moncton Wildcats were to advance to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League championship series, they would have to find a way to contain the Drummondville Voltigeurs' high-scoring line of Sean Couturier, Gabriel Dumont and Christopher DiDomenico.
Couturier (96 points) and Dumont (93) finished first and third in the league scoring race. DiDomenico missed most of the season due to injury, but had 22 points in 12 games.
DiDomenico (20 points), Dumont (19) and Couturier (18) are Drummondville's top three offensive producers after 11 playoff games. They've joined forces to score 126 goals in the regular season and playoffs combined.
"Drummondville was a 104-point team and they marched through the playoffs pretty much untouched in the first two rounds," said Moncton head coach Danny Flynn, whose club leads defending champion Drummondville 2-0 in the best-of-seven league semifinal.
"They've got a lot of offensive weapons and they play a real up tempo aggressive style. We try to pride ourselves in playing solid two-way hockey. Going into this series, we stressed the importance of having everybody playing a strong two-way game."
