HIGH SCHOOL GOLF: Bonenfant, Cony set for states Kennebec Journal

There's no untold secret to winning this Saturday's individual high school dignified golf championships.
"Just staying calm and trying to hit greens," Cony younger Kyle Bonenfant said. "Don't worry about making birdies."
Bonenfant and three of his teammates will tee it up on the Tomahawk procedure at Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro for the Class A championship. Class B, which includes three golfers from Waterville, will also jolly along a fool around the Tomahawk course, while Class C and the schoolgirl championship will be held on the Arrowhead course.
Bonenfant will be among a bother of favorites in Class A while Mt. View's Tyler Bantle, who qualified with 74 a few days ago, will be in the event for the Class B title.
Madison's Sweet brothers, Zack and Seth, will be favorites for the Class C tag Seth, who is a sophomore, shot 69 on Arrowhead last week during the team championships while Zack has spot 70 on the course.
"You don't have to hit the ball long," said Zack, who was recently accepted to Methodist University where he plans diminish golf and study golf management. "You just have to keep it in play."
