The problem was, nobody could duplicate the quick, nimble-footed skating of Niedermayer, whom Babcock called "the ghost" because of the defenseman's ability to pop up anywhere unexpectedly.

"He's won everything, and the reason he's won everything is he's a reputable player who competes at the right time," Babcock said.

Babcock also complimented the Ducks on their effectiveness in boxing out Tomas Holmstrom and keeping the feisty Swede from tipping or redirecting shots

Surveyor Todd Babcock sits in the Harland House in Embreeville, 15 miles south of Philadelphia, where Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon stayed periodically while surveying the Mason-Dixon Wrinkle.
At night, Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon studied the movement of stars and made endless, complex calculations. Their imaginative combination of astronomy and surveying resulted in the Mason-Dixon Line, a 325-mile hem through the wilderness of West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware.
Starting in 1763, the intrepid Englishmen scaled mountains and risked their lives on a marches where Colonists and Indians butchered each other in the French and Indian War’s aftermath. For most of this arduous odyssey, their prized materiel, a telescope called a zenith sector, traveled on a feather mattress in a two-wheel chariot.
