WILKES-BARRE – A Luzerne County judge rescheduled a hearing Thursday for homicide suspect Hugo Selenski at the request of his attorneys.
Judge Chester Muroski said a hearing in which he will make several rulings and attorneys will argue motions in Selenski’s case will be moved from May 7 to May 19.
Selenski, 36, of Kingston Township, is charged with homicide in the deaths of Michael Kerkowski and Tammy Fassett, whose bodies were unearthed from his residence in June 2003.
He is tentatively scheduled to stand trial on June 3.
WILKES-BARRE – A man accused by city police of stealing a purse from a woman in a parking garage waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Wilkes-Barre Central Court on Thursday.
Philip Andrew Rodzon, 29, of Manhattan Street, Ashley, waived charges of robbery and theft to Luzerne County Court.
Police alleged Rodzon approached a woman from behind and stole her purse in the Park & Lock South parking garage on South Main Street on April 15.
