Barangay officials, public urged to be vigilant vs H1N1

Dumaguete Conurbation (22 May) -- Health and veterinary officials here are urging barangay officials to carry on vigilant amid the Influenza A H1N1 scare that has already affected a growing number of countries.
Unsophisticated Health Officer Dr. Felix Sy, together with City Veterinarian Dr. Lourdes Socorro, exhorted village officials in the area to watch out for flu-like symptoms among visitors or residents in their communities who came from H1N1-infected countries.
Sy, speaking during yesterday's Kapihan forum, said that the cold-blooded flu virus has now affected 40 countries with the possibility of more countries to follow suit.
